Guided help with English assignments while building the skills needed for more independent work.
LANGUAGE / FORM / MEANING
Reading, writing, speaking, and grammar are treated as connected practices rather than separate drills. The structure of a lesson changes depending on the student, but the goal remains consistent: clearer thought, stronger language, and a confidence in expression.
02 / APPROACH
I use a student's current coursework and skill level as a starting point, then build short reading, writing, speaking, and grammar activities around the areas that need the most attention.
A grammar lesson might become an interview, a short story, a museum label, or an essay. A reading lesson might turn into a discussion on thought and voice; a space of introspection. My goal is not merely to finish an exercise, but to help cultivate a student's ability to express and engage with meaning through language.
Share grade level, current challenges, schoolwork, and any assessment information you have.
Sessions are offered in-home within the San Diego area, subject to location and availability.
I adjust future lessons based on strengths, gaps, confidence, pacing, and school expectations.
